Dear TPAA members and family,
It is with saddened hearts that we notify you that Dr. Sarnt Santinoranon passed away on October 23, 2017. He was with his family members, and a private funeral service was held on October 28, 2017, in Gainesview, Florida where he resided. The funeral was attended by Drs. Weerasak and Kannika Sangrujee, Dr. Chookiert Emko and Dr. Vinai Raksakulthai, representatives from his Chiengmai alumni class of 1966.
Dr. Sarnt was a life member of TPAA since 1990 and a valuable contributor to TPAA Publications for many years. He had a unique style of writing and through the years, provided us with thoughtful articles that included both real-life experiences and colorful commentary. His articles were both entertaining and informative, and were well-received, enjoyed and appreciated by our members and friends. This can best be exemplified by the following testimonial from one of his former colleagues and editor-in-chief of the publication committee, Dr. Kuntol Srivisal:
“Dr. Sant was a well known and prolific writer who wrote under the pen name, “S. Florida”. He contributed to TPAA publications and served on the Publication Committee for many years. His poems and articles, drawn from his vast experience, offered thoughtful comments, were tempered with humor and were always appreciated by the readers. As someone who served on the same Committee as Dr. Sant, I would like to express my sincere condolences to his family and friends. On a personal note, I wish I could go back in time and thank him more for his cooperation, he never said no to my requests for an article. I will miss you, Dr. Sant” (Kuntol Srivisal).
He will be truly missed by all of us at TPAA, and our heartfelt condolences go to his family.
