2014 Thailand Convention
January 1, 2014
On behalf of the Board of Directors and the 2014 Planning Committee, we invite you to attend the 36th Annual TPAA Thailand Convention. It is our pleasure to inform you about our upcoming 2014 Thailand convention events.
The TPAA will collaborate with a hospital and school in the Amnat Charoen Province. The hospital project will take place on June 23-27, 2014 and will focus on enhancing the quality of neonatal services in the Amnat Charoen Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The unit is proud to deliver the most contemporary and compassionate care to an estimated 1,000 premature or seriously ill neonates each year. Our committee members are working diligently to secure medical equipment requested by the unit, with the assistance of Bangkok General Hospital, so that the NICU may continue to provide comprehensive care to their young patients and families.
The 2014 rural school project will take place June 23-27, 2014 and will sponsor the repairs of 3 local also in the Amnat Charoen Province. The schools have been aged and weathered by storms and other environmental factors. Not only are basic repairs needed, the school districts are in desperate need of everyday supplies: desks, storage, books, writing tools, and safe places for the children to play. These small, but meaningful contributions will have a lasting impact on the students for years to come.
This year’s Continuing Medical Education program will take place at Bangkok General Hospital, in Bangkok June 30th-July 1st, 2014. Bangkok General has generously partnered with the TPAA to host this two day symposium for TPAA members, local physicians, residents, medical students, nurses, and support staff
from Bangkok and the surrounding provinces. Physicians have been invited to speak from the US, TPAA, and Bangkok General Hospital.
Finally, the convention will be hosted at the Dusit Thani Pattaya, Pattaya, Thailand
