Dear TPAAF Board of Directors, Officers and members of TPAA

On January 20, 2010, TPAA through TPAAF Disaster Fund donated (advanced money) $ 10,000.00 to relief earthquake disaster of Haiti. The check is paid to Greater Washington HAITI Relief Committee . Dr. Saleewun Lima, in the presence of Minister, Deputy Chief of Mission, the Royal Thai Embassy, Mr. Sek Wannamethee, showed the check to Mr. Donald Manzullo, U.S. Representative, Illinois’s 16th District, Co-Chair, Friends of Thailand Caucus. That was to show compassionate nature of Thai people in the USA. Thai government had already sent help to Haiti. Before we left Mr. Manzullo office in Rayburn building, Mr. Sek Wannamethee presented a New Year gift to him.
An attachment is a letter from Co-Chairmen of the Caucus to their fellow US congressmen to encourage them to join the Friends of Thailand Caucus. So far, nineteen ( 19 ) congressmen have signed in to be members Forming of the Caucus was initiated by the Royal Thai Embassy and a few US Congressmen. It was founded on September 24, 2009. The Caucus would help to increase cooperation and understanding between the United States of America and Thailand. That should benefit, to a certain degree, to Thailand including Thais who are residing within the States.
