Message from Prem Chantra, MD, Usah Lilavivat, MD (Representing TPAA)
Cholthanee Koerojna, (Representing KTBF)

Happy Holidays TPAA members, family, and friends,

On behalf of The Fund’s working team*, we would like to “Thank You” for being a part of the Thai Scholars Fellowship Fund at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH).

During this season of giving, we hope to inspire your compassion and generosity to support a cause that touches your heart. The Thai Physicians Association of America has been a strong co-founder and supporter of the Fund. This Fund was established in 2017 to honor the legacy of His Majesty King Rama 9 and his father (Prince Mahidol) whom we recognize as “The Father of Modern Medicine of Thailand”. The purpose of this Fund is to sponsor students from Thailand who study at HSPH with the intention of returning to Thailand when graduate. These recipients will gain the ability to make consequential public health initiatives and improve the overall well-being of the people of Thailand. In the past six years, the Fund has financially supported six well-deserved physicians (seven awards) to obtain higher education and further their research projects at HSPH. All these could only be made possible with your gift to The Fund. You are indeed the champion that keeps our mission moving forward.

Your generous responses to our last year’s drive have moved our Fund passed the $500,000.00 milestone in 2023. For that, we are deeply grateful to you. The fund’s ultimate goal is $1,500,000.00. We still have far to go. Your compassion and generosity have a lasting impact on our ability to continue our trajectory as strong supporters of Thailand’s public health.

It is always a good time to support Thai students attending HSPH, but the Holiday Season offers a special opportunity to stand up for what matters to you most.

Giving not only ultimately benefits the health of the Thai population, but it also confers better health to the gift giver like you. Such kindness and commitment can lead to lower blood pressure and stress levels as well as improve self-esteem, happiness, and longevity.

Please help us extend the invitation to your friends, families, and business. Enclosed is the tax-deductible donation form for your convenience.

With sincere gratitude and the very best wishes for the new year,

Prem Chantra, MD, Usah Lilavivat, MD (Representing TPAA)
